More About Us
What Does "Free Presbyterian" Mean?
The word Free reflects a heritage of independence from state control — a church governed by Scripture and confessional standards alone. The word Presbyterian describes how we're governed: by elders (presbyters) in an ordered, accountable structure.
We place a high emphasis on the preaching of the Word. Sunday worship is built around the careful, expository proclamation of Scripture, which we believe is God's living address to his people.
